Enabling Dedicated Graphics for AMD (Radeon) Cards

Case:

I have an AMD graphics card and Mastercam will not run.

Cause:

Mastercam will not run because it is not using the dedicated graphics card.

Solution:

Using the Radeon Pro software, register Mastercam and set it up to run with the dedicated graphics card. The steps are below.

  1. Open the Radeon Pro software by right-clicking on the desktop and choosing AMD Radeon Pro and AMD FirePro Settings.

  2. Click System.

  3. Click Switchable Graphics.

  4. Click Running Applications.

  5. Select Installed Profiled Applications.

  6. Click Browse.

  7. Navigate to the Mastercam install folder and choose Mastercam.exe.
  8. Select the Mastercam.exe dropdown.

  9. Choose High Performance.
