Quick Surface CRASH on startup prior to activation

Case:

Quick Surface CRASH on startup, preventing the user from activating the software license

Cause:

The security policy on the application PC is preventing Quick Surface from reaching its license server.

Solution:

  1. Disable the ethernet connection and disconnect from all internet connections including the local network
  2. Start Quick Surface
  3. Copy the Serial Number from Settings > Activate Software
  4. Exit Quick Surface
  5. Send the Serial Number to orders@verisurf.com
Note: While waiting for a License Code from Verisurf the user can reconnect to the internet and local network 

After receiving the new License Code from Verisurf proceed to the steps below
  1. Disable the ethernet connection and disconnect from all internet connections including the local network
  2. Start Quick Surface
  3. Paste the new License Code in the License Key field under Settings > Activate Software
  4. Select the ACTIVATE button
