Technical Tip - Deactivating a License Offline




TECH TIP - DEACTIVATING A LICENSE OFFLINE

Follow the process below to deactivate a license on the computer with Verisurf and the Activation Wizard installed. This computer requires no internet connection; however, you need another Internet-connected computer to complete the deactivation process.

DEACTIVATING A LICENSE (NO INTERNET ACCESS)

  1. On the computer with the Activation Wizard installed, select Start, Mastercam Licensing Utilities, and Activation Wizard. The Product Activation Wizard displays.
  2. Select Offline Activation/Deactivation.
  3. Select Deactivate an Existing License. 
  4. On the License Deactivation Selection page, select the license to deactivate.


  1. Click Next.
  2. The Confirmation page displays. Ensure the license you are about to deactivate is the correct one, then select Next.
  3. On the Offline Deactivation page, select Save. The Save As dialog box displays.
  4. Save the license return file (.mcDea) to a network or USB drive to access the File from the Internet.
  5. Select Next.
  6. Select Finish.
  7. On your Internet-connected computer, use a browser to go to Activate.Mastercam.com.
  8. Select Deactivate a license.
  9. Select Browse for your .mcDea File.
  10. Navigate to the .mcDea File and select Open.
  11. Select Upload and Verify.
  12. When your license is verified, your information and list of product displays ensure that the information displayed is correct. If there are any issues, please contact your local Verisurf Representative.
  13. If everything is correct, select Deactivate your license.
  14. Your license is deactivated. Be sure to record your License number and Activation code. If applicable, you can reactivate your license on another computer or at a later date.
