TECH TIP – HOW TO MEASURE AN EXACT LOCATION ON A CAD SURFACE

On the rare occasion that a need arises to measure an Exact point location on CAD Surface, you can use a DRO from the Device Manager and set up the DRO to display Projected X, Y, Z. Then, using the Inspect/Build mode, the operator may move the Probe to the exact location using the DRO (PX, PY, PZ) and view and record the results as required:

Actual Probe location

To Report the X, Y, Z coordinates, select the Analysis Object in the Measure Data Tree and select the Report Manager Icon.
