VDI Crash on Start or VDI will not Start

Case:

VDI begins to start, and then VReadout crashes.

Similar Case:

VDI won't start after installing or updating Verisurf.

Description:

Verisurf 22.2.4 and later are set up to look for a 64-bit VDI. VDI version 3.46.12 and later are all 64-bit VDIs. Installing a version of Verisurf earlier than 22.2.4 may cause an issue with how the VDI is set up to start in Verisurf, requiring users to follow the steps below to resolve the issue.

Solution:

1. Install the 64-bit VDI version
      verisurf.com/downloads
      or
      C:\Program Files\mastercam 20xx\mastercam
2. Upon completion of the installation, delete the following folder C:\Users\Public\Documents\VDI      
      Note: This will delete all of the VDI settings and will begin to rebuild as soon as Device Setup is selected in Verisurf
3. Launch Verisurf and select Device Setup
4. Choose the Device and Select Start
