Verisurf fails to run without a network connection

Case:

Unable to launch Verisurf without a network connection

Cause:

Verisurf was installed while connected to the companies network resulting in some of the directories being written to the network as opposed to the local drive

Solution:

  1. Copy the My Mastercam 20XX folder from the user's network location and Paste in C:\Users\Public\Documents
  2. Launch the Registry Editor from the Windows Start Menu and navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\CNC Software, Inc.\Mastercam 20XX folder
  3. Double click on the UserDir in the Name column
  4. In the Value date field enter the path from step 1 including the My Mastercam 20XX, for example; C:\Users\Public\Documents\My Mastercam 20XX
  5. Select OK from the Edit String dialog and launch Verisurf
Note: An error may popup with the .kmp file will not open, select OK and Verisurf will start as expected and this error will not popup again.
