What Folders Need Read Write Permissions in Verisurf?

Case:

Various issues with can't find folder errors.

Cause:

Certain folders need to have full rights for the user.

Solution:

The following folders need to have Read and Write Permissions (you can replace "mcam2017" in the path with the current Verisurf version):


 C:\Program Files\mcam2017



C:\Program Files (x86)\Verisurf Device Interface


C:\User\My Documents\my mcam2017


C:\Users\Public\Public Documents\VDI


C:\Users\Public\Public Documents\shared Mcam2017


Occasionally, the Registry keys may also need to be edited to allow Read permissions, the following keys may need editing (this is rare):


64 bit HKLM:Software\CNC Software


64 bit HKLM:Software\Verisurf Software, Inc.



32 bit HKLM:Software\Verisurf Device Interface
